Boston Dynamics deployed its Stretch robot, which uses computer vision and machine learning to autonomously identify and move boxes in warehouses, currently being used by logistics and retail customers including Gap Inc.

Stretch uses multiple sensors and machine learning algorithms to detect boxes, surrounding obstacles, walls, and the floor in real time, then uses a vacuum gripper to pick and place cases onto conveyors without needing to be pre-programmed with SKU data or box specifications. The robot is mobile on an omnidirectional base and can navigate loading docks and tight warehouse spaces autonomously. Boston Dynamics has confirmed commercial deployments with logistics and retail customers as of 2022 onward.
