The Curb Lab's core tool, CD-Engine, uses AI to read and process street-level imagery — including 360-degree panoramic images and LiDAR data — to produce a continuously updated digital inventory of curb regulations across Boston. This inventory is linked to the city's asset management and parking systems and updated nightly. The tool helps city planners, the Office of the Parking Clerk, residents, and delivery drivers understand where parking is permitted, for how long, and under what conditions.
