Details
The Enterprise Use and Development of Generative AI Policy, issued by EOTSS, establishes minimum requirements for all Commonwealth agencies and offices using or building generative AI. Key requirements include: completing an AI Project Risk Evaluation before procuring or deploying any AI system (submitted to the AI Center of Excellence for review); creating an agency-level Generative AI Inventory; and operating AI within the EOTSS AIsandbox or a comparably secure environment. The policy also mandates that human employees remain accountable for AI-supported decisions and must review and validate AI outputs. EOTSS updates the policy periodically in response to evolving technologies and guidance from the AI Strategic Task Force.
