Meta launched Business AI on October 2, 2025, initially for eligible US businesses on Facebook and Instagram ads and business websites, with WhatsApp and Messenger testing expanding separately. The agent is trained on a brand's product catalog, website content, and past social posts to answer FAQs, guide product discovery, and support purchase completion; businesses configure which topics the AI handles and can hand off to human agents or third-party platforms such as Salesforce or Zendesk. By early 2026, Meta reported over 1 million weekly conversations in Mexico and the Philippines; by Q1 2026, that figure had grown to 10 million weekly conversations, with rollout expanding to Latin America, Indonesia, and Asia Pacific. A separate Meta AI business assistant inside Ads Manager, tested in Q4 2025 and expanded globally in 2026, lets advertisers ask questions about campaign performance and receive optimization suggestions.
