The integration works through Microsoft Graph Connector, a Microsoft tool that indexes data sources so they become searchable through Microsoft Search and accessible to Microsoft 365 Copilot. Once Nasuni-managed files are indexed, they enter Microsoft's semantic index — an AI-built understanding of file content and meaning, not just file names. This allows Copilot to reason across file contents when answering employee questions or generating documents. A Microsoft Tech Community post confirmed deployment by BXP, a large US real estate firm, describing the integration as providing 'a standardized AI prompting experience.' Nasuni's Chief Innovation Officer publicly stated that the company has chosen to build on Microsoft's AI infrastructure rather than develop a competing search capability.
