FlexPLM's AI-driven tech pack generation uses AI to read design drawings and extract structured product information, then instantly populate multiple fields in the PLM system including bills of materials (BOMs), measurement pages, construction details, product attributes, and colorways. PTC described the prior process as manual and error-prone, involving multiple handoffs between design and development teams. The capabilities debuted at the National Retail Federation's Retail's Big Show in January 2026 and are positioned as generally available to FlexPLM customers.
