Runway offers a Generative Audio suite that converts written text into spoken audio using selectable AI voices, allows users to train custom voice models from their own recordings, and can synchronize generated speech to animate the mouth movements of characters in photos or videos (Lip Sync).

The Generative Audio toolset includes Generate Speech (text-to-speech with preset and custom voices), custom voice training (requiring a few minutes of clean audio input, costing 300 credits), and Lip Sync (which animates facial mouth movements on an image or video to match audio). Custom voice models are available on Pro plan and higher. Text-to-Speech is billed at 1 credit per 50 text characters. Act-Two has since expanded on Lip Sync's capabilities with full body and gesture animation.
