The producer confirmed this represented a small experiment, accounting for approximately 0.01% or less of the game's total content.

Foamstars producer Kosuke Okatani confirmed at a press event that Midjourney — a tool that converts text prompts into images — was used to produce abstract images for in-game album covers tied to the game's music tracks. Square Enix clarified in a follow-up statement that all core gameplay elements and other assets were created by the development team. Midjourney takes text prompts as input and produces visual images as output.
