Stitch Fix offers a conversational AI Style Assistant, launched in 2025, that chats with clients to help them articulate their style preferences using AI-generated outfit imagery and dialogue. The tool is available in the iOS app and is designed to help clients describe what they want before their next Fix.

The Style Assistant uses each client's StyleFile and historical data to engage in back-and-forth dialogue, generates outfit inspiration images in response to client input, and acts as an editor to help clients communicate their preferences more clearly to their human stylist. Stitch Fix is explicit that the tool identifies itself as AI, not a human stylist. The feature launched as a beta in the iOS app in August 2025, and as of October 2025 was described as 'now live' in the iOS app. Stitch Fix reported positive engagement metrics, with clients who used the tool showing higher keep rates for items in subsequent Fixes.
