TIDAL offers artists who upload tracks without cover art an AI-generated image or a spectrogram visualization automatically created from the audio file as a default artwork option.

Per TIDAL's Terms and Conditions of Use and support documentation, when an artist uploads a track through TIDAL Upload without providing cover artwork, TIDAL may supply a default image that is AI-generated. TIDAL's support pages also describe a spectrogram cover image option on the web upload interface that uses the uploaded audio file to generate custom artwork automatically. TIDAL explicitly notes that AI-generated images are not copyrightable and that it cannot guarantee the generated art is not substantially similar to existing works.
