Details
Launched December 12, 2016, AutoMod screens messages across four categories — identity-based language, sexual language, aggressive speech, and profanity — at four configurable strictness levels. By May 2017, roughly 20% of all Twitch chat was being screened by AutoMod. The 2.0 update added customizable blocked/permitted word lists and automatic ruleset modifications that learn from moderator approve/deny decisions. AutoMod now supports 17+ languages and is enabled on 82.5% of all channels as of H2 2024.
