Welly was launched to help client-facing teams quickly surface pre-approved answers from the firm's knowledge base and generate initial drafts of RFI responses, reducing manual writing time. The tool was subsequently expanded to support thought leadership content drafting. This was confirmed by Janet Perumal, Wellington's Head of Asia Pacific Investments, in a March 2025 interview, placing the launch in 2024.
