DeepFleet is a suite of foundation models trained on fleet movement data—including robot positions, goals, and interactions—from hundreds of thousands of robots in Amazon warehouses worldwide. Amazon announced the system in July 2025 alongside the milestone of its one-millionth deployed robot. The model was built using Amazon SageMaker and trained on internal warehouse and inventory data. According to Amazon Science, DeepFleet also helps assign tasks to robots, with the company viewing location prediction as a pretraining objective that teaches the AI to understand traffic flow at scale.
