ArtStation uses automated tools to detect spam content. When spam is flagged, the content is held from public feeds while a human moderator reviews it — and if confirmed as spam, the account is banned and the content removed.

According to ArtStation's AB-587 regulatory filings, spam detection tooling runs automatically on submitted content. Detected spam is published only via direct link or from a user's profile page — not surfaced in public feeds — until a human moderator makes a final call. Human moderators also proactively search for common spam keywords on user profiles. This system is separate from the Project Detection Tool and does not apply to blogs or comments.
