Launched in December 2025, Policy Studio uses precision AI to ingest unstructured policy documents and interpret clinical language to generate decision trees, executable rules, and FHIR-ready outputs, removing the manual technical burden from policy teams. The platform serves as a centralized hub for the entire policy lifecycle with automatic version tracking, and connects digitized policies directly to Cohere's utilization management and automation systems. It comes pre-loaded with all CMS National Coverage Determinations (NCDs) and Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs). Prior to this tool, Cohere describes health plan policy management as requiring manual, one-off translation of static documents into operational workflows — a process it characterizes as slow, error-prone, and disconnected.
