Cohere's CEO publicly described the use of generative AI to summarize clinical data as part of the platform's approach to reducing administrative delays. Within the Review Assist and Review Resolve products, an AI chatbot called Casey can produce detailed and accurate case summaries drawing on member clinical data. The platform also uses generative AI to auto-generate compliant determination letters for prior authorization decisions with denial reasoning in the appropriate regulatory language. These summarization capabilities are built on fine-tuned large language models (LLMs) trained on clinical documentation.
