Eleven Music takes a natural language text prompt describing desired genre, style, mood, and structure as input and produces a complete music track with vocals and instruments as output. ElevenLabs secured licensing deals with independent music rights organizations before the August 2025 launch to provide commercial use rights. The service includes guardrails that prevent users from generating songs that reference specific artist names or copyrighted lyrics. As of April 1, 2026, a standalone iOS app called ElevenMusic allows users to generate up to seven songs per day for free; users can also adjust song length, lyric inclusion, and writing style.
