MedGemma includes 4B multimodal and 27B text-only and multimodal variants supporting tasks such as chest X-ray interpretation, clinical note summarization, patient triage, and electronic health record analysis. Vertex AI Search for Healthcare remains generally available (launched October 2024) for healthcare search and clinical data retrieval. Customers include HCA Healthcare (clinical note automation), Insmed (drug discovery literature search), and DeepHealth (chest X-ray triaging). MedGemma is offered as an open model through Google's Health AI Developer Foundations (HAI-DEF) program.
