Pan Macmillan (the UK arm of the same Holtzbrinck Publishing Group that owns Macmillan Publishers US) formally disclosed that it uses enterprise AI technologies for a broad range of internal tasks, including document review and summarization, research, data analysis, online content moderation, meeting transcription, and the generation of ideas, text, metadata, images, audio, video, and marketing content. The disclosure states that providers are prohibited from using the company's copyright material or confidential data to train public AI models. Where AI-generated content is produced, human review and editing are applied before publication.
