Writing Assistant was first piloted in select school districts in fall 2024 and rolled out nationwide in November 2025 within McGraw Hill's Actively Learn and Achieve3000 Literacy programs for grades 6–12. The tool also generates per-student metrics that teachers can use to track growth. McGraw Hill stated it plans to integrate Writing Assistant into additional K–12 literacy products.
