Codestral, first released in May 2024, is a 22-billion-parameter model trained on 80+ programming languages, supporting fill-in-the-middle (FIM) completion, code correction, and test generation. Devstral 2 (December 2025) is a 123-billion-parameter open-weight coding model reaching 72.2% on SWE-bench Verified. The Vibe CLI is an open-source command-line agent powered by Devstral that reads file structures, Git history, and configuration files to propose and apply multi-file code edits using natural language instructions. As of January 2026, Vibe 2.0 became generally available as a paid offering bundled with Le Chat plans.
