Pearson announced Communication Coach, an AI-powered tool integrated into Microsoft 365 that analyzes employees' speech, meeting interactions, and written communication in real time and delivers feedback on grammar, vocabulary, tone, and clarity. The product was previewed at Microsoft Ignite in November 2025, with pilots and general availability planned for 2026.

Communication Coach, co-developed with Microsoft, sits inside Microsoft 365 (including Teams and Copilot) and continuously analyzes an employee's communication signals — including speech from meetings and written messages — then combines that analysis with Pearson's learning science content. It produces real-time, contextual coaching nudges on grammar, vocabulary, tone, expression, clarity, and professional communication. The tool is powered by Pearson's skills intelligence engine, which draws on data from Faethm and Credly, and is calibrated against Pearson's Global Scale of English proficiency framework.
