Details
DONATELLO (DeONtic AssistanT Enabled by Large Language mOdels) is designed as a human-in-the-loop AI solution. It takes dense regulatory texts—such as military rules of engagement or government compliance documents—as input and produces executable logical representations that AI systems can apply in a verifiable, explainable way. The project is funded through DARPA's CODORD program and is being developed in partnership with Johns Hopkins University and Stony Brook University. RTX BBN Technologies serves as the prime contractor. The system targets operational scenarios where DoD personnel cannot access legal or regulatory experts in real time.
