Schneider Electric deployed an internal AI assistant called Jo-Chat GPT, built on Microsoft Azure OpenAI, that allows its approximately 150,000 employees to use generative AI capabilities in a secure, data-contained environment. The tool is available globally to Schneider Electric staff.

Jo-Chat GPT is a private, company-specific version of ChatGPT hosted on Microsoft Azure OpenAI, designed so employees can benefit from generative AI for tasks like writing, knowledge retrieval, and content generation without risking data leakage outside the company. Schneider Electric's Chief AI Officer confirmed the deployment, noting that all employee data stays within Schneider's secured environment. The AI Hub organization that oversees this and related tools was established in 2021, with the generative AI-specific team formed after 2022.
