Skylum offers Sky AI in Luminar Neo, a tool that automatically detects and replaces the sky in a photograph with a user-selected alternative, including adding realistic water reflections, without requiring manual masking. This feature has been part of Luminar products since before Luminar Neo's February 2022 launch.

Sky AI receives a photograph as input, uses AI to detect the sky region and any water bodies, and outputs the image with a seamlessly composited replacement sky that also adjusts foreground lighting for realism. The tool includes a 'For This Photo' section that scans the image and recommends three sky options based on color, saturation, and style. A companion tool, Enhance AI (also called Accent AI), uses AI to automatically adjust up to a dozen parameters — including shadows, highlights, contrast, tone, saturation, and exposure — with a single slider. Both tools are included in all Luminar Neo license tiers.
