According to Suno's official help documentation, songs may be prevented from generating if they include content that violates platform rules, and moderation actions can include blocking generation, requiring a song to be set to link-only access, or removing it without warning. The ADL documented in June 2024 that while Suno refuses explicitly hateful or violent prompts, the automated filters have been circumvented through coded language and deliberate misspellings. Suno also maintains a policy blocking copyrighted lyrics from being used as inputs, though independent reporting found this filter to be bypassable. The platform relies on a combination of automated pre-generation filtering and community reporting after the fact.
