Teradyne offers Archimedes, an open analytics platform that integrates AI and machine learning directly into semiconductor test equipment to detect defects, improve yield, and optimize production in real time. Chip manufacturers using Teradyne's automated test equipment can plug in AI-driven analytics solutions from Teradyne or third-party providers to get immediate feedback during chip testing.

The Archimedes platform provides a bi-directional real-time data stream between the tester and analytics solutions, running on Teradyne's UltraEdge2000 edge-compute hardware with millisecond latency. It supports AI/ML models for tasks such as dynamic part average testing (DPAT), outlier detection, device re-binning, drift detection, and yield improvement. The open architecture allows customers to deploy third-party analytics from providers like NI (formerly Optimal+), PDF Solutions Exensio, and proteanTecs, or to build custom solutions. Archimedes was launched in 2023 and remains active.
