Teradyne offers Archimedes, an open analytics platform that integrates AI and machine learning directly into semiconductor test equipment to detect defects, improve yield, and optimize production in real time. Chip manufacturers using Teradyne's automated test equipment can plug in AI-driven analytics solutions from Teradyne or third-party providers to get immediate feedback during chip testing.

The Archimedes platform provides a bi-directional real-time data stream between the tester and analytics solutions, running on Teradyne's UltraEdge2000 edge-compute hardware with millisecond latency. It supports AI/ML models for tasks such as dynamic part average testing (DPAT), outlier detection, device re-binning, drift detection, and yield improvement. The open architecture allows customers to deploy third-party analytics from providers like NI (formerly Optimal+), PDF Solutions Exensio, and proteanTecs, or to build custom solutions. Archimedes was launched in 2023 and remains active.

Teradyne offers an AI program generator that helps test engineers create semiconductor test programs more quickly by combining a device-specific test plan with code libraries, reducing the need to write test code from scratch. The engineer reviews and approves the generated output rather than building the program manually.

As described in a Teradyne company blog post from August 2023, an AI model combines a device-specific test plan with reusable code libraries to draft a test program, with the engineer focused on review rather than authoring. The system can also accept feedback parameters such as test time and repeatability to continuously improve the libraries. Additionally, Teradyne acquired TestInsight in April 2026 to expand its automated pattern generation and design-to-test conversion capabilities, which further integrates AI-assisted workflows into test program development. Full deployment scope and product branding for the AI program generator are not confirmed beyond what is described in the blog.
