Topaz Labs deployed Bloom, a web-based generative AI upscaling tool launched in 2025 that takes AI-generated or digital art images as input and produces enlarged images with AI-synthesized new textures and details.

Bloom uses diffusion-based AI models developed in-house to perform what Topaz calls 'creative upscaling' — enlarging images up to 8x (to 64MP) while actively generating contextually relevant new detail and texture, not just stretching existing pixels. Users can adjust creativity level from Subtle to Max, and optionally provide text prompts to guide the added detail. The tool is web-only (cloud-processed) and is designed specifically for AI-generated images from platforms like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and ChatGPT, as well as CG renders and digital illustrations. It is distinct from Gigapixel, which is recommended for photographic content.
