500px deployed a 'For You' feed that uses AI to personalize the photos each user sees, based on their likes, views, and searches. The feed refreshes daily and primarily surfaces content from photographers the user does not yet follow.
Details
According to a December 2023 official 500px blog post, the For You feed 'taps into the magic of AI, understanding your likes, views, searches, and more.' The system recommends photos from photographers not already followed by the user, aiming to broaden discovery. Users can also opt for a 'Daily Dose' mode that blends Mood Galleries and followed-photographer activity into the feed.
