Palantir deployed Gotham, its defense and intelligence platform, to law enforcement agencies including police departments in the U.S. and Europe, where it is used to integrate and analyze data from multiple sources — including arrest records, license plate readers, and social media — to identify crime patterns and support investigations.

Gotham merges data from crime reports, arrest records, automated license plate readers, and other databases into a searchable, unified system. It has been used by multiple U.S. police departments, including the LAPD and NYPD, as well as Europol and law enforcement agencies in Denmark and Norway. A Danish predictive policing project (POL-INTEL) based on Gotham has been operational since 2017; Norwegian Customs uses Gotham to screen passengers and vehicles. The system applies analytics to detect patterns and flag individuals or locations associated with crime indicators. Palantir's software does not make enforcement decisions; human officers remain responsible for acting on its output.
