Amazon's One Medical primary care service launched a Health AI assistant in January 2026 that provides 24/7 personalized health guidance, answers health questions, explains lab results, books appointments, and manages medications — drawing on each patient's actual medical records.

Available to One Medical members (accessible as an Amazon Prime benefit at $9/month), the Health AI assistant was built on Amazon Bedrock and uses a multi-agent architecture: a core patient-facing agent, sub-agents for specific workflows, auditor agents reviewing conversations in real time, and sentinel agents that escalate to human clinicians when needed. Co-developed with One Medical's clinical leadership, it includes HIPAA-compliant privacy protections. A beta launched in early 2025 for select One Medical members before the full rollout. Amazon then expanded Health AI to broader U.S. consumers via Amazon.com and the Amazon app in March 2026. Amazon emphasizes the tool is designed to complement rather than replace physicians.
