Building on Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's existing i2b2 (Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside) patient data system, the planned AI tools are intended to screen and match eligible patients to open clinical trials at scale, reducing enrollment delays. The new HPC cluster, enabled by a Dell Technologies grant, provides the GPU computing power needed to run large-scale AI and predictive modeling workloads. As of the announcement, this is a stated priority for the new infrastructure rather than a confirmed operational deployment.
