Canva offers Magic Write, an AI-powered writing assistant that generates, rewrites, summarizes, and expands text within Canva designs and documents, available to all users with limited free uses.

Magic Write is powered by OpenAI's API and uses a large language model to produce text based on user prompts. It accepts text instructions and produces copy ranging from social media captions and blog outlines to full documents. It also rewrites or summarizes existing text in a design. As of the Canva newsroom, users have written over 10 billion words using Magic Write. Free users receive 25–50 queries; Canva Pro users receive additional access. The tool launched in 2022.
