Canva Code was introduced at Canva Create 2025 in April 2025. It uses Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet model to convert text prompts into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code, producing interactive components that can be embedded in Canva websites, presentations, and documents. Users describe what they want (e.g., 'a pricing calculator') and the AI generates a live-preview widget. Canva Code is available on all plans, with usage counting toward shared AI credits. A Canva Code 2.0 was announced in the Canva AI 2.0 research preview in April 2026.
