Released in Capture One 16.6.0 on May 20, 2025, the Retouch Faces tool accepts portrait images as input and uses AI to automatically detect up to 20 faces. It then applies non-destructive corrections including Blemish Removal (detecting and correcting skin imperfections), Even Skin (smoothing tonal inconsistencies using AI and frequency separation), Dark Circle Reduction, and Contouring (adding subtle depth to facial features). Capture One has stated the underlying AI model was trained on the company's own licensed images. The tool can be applied during tethered shooting or in post-production and supports copying edits across batches.
