Released in Capture One 16.8 Beta (May 6, 2026), Enhanced Denoise is an extension of the existing Noise Reduction tool. It accepts Bayer-pattern RAW files as input — X-Trans (Fujifilm) files are not yet supported — and processes them using an AI model to generate a denoised sidecar file. The denoising is calculated once per image and reused across all variants. An Impact slider allows the photographer to control how aggressively noise is reduced, from a natural-grain look to a cleaner finish. Processing runs in the background so other editing tasks can continue simultaneously.

Capture One integrated Photoroom's AI background replacement service into its software, allowing photographers to automatically remove and replace or expand image backgrounds with AI-generated content directly within the Capture One interface.
Introduced in Capture One 16.5.0 (October 23, 2024) for macOS Sessions, with Windows support and background expansion added in version 16.5.2, the Replace Background feature connects to the Photoroom API. Photoroom's AI automatically detects the subject, removes the background, and replaces it with a solid color, AI-generated scene, or transparent layer. A Photoroom API subscription is required to produce images without a watermark. Capture One and Photoroom have stated they do not use submitted images to train AI models. This feature is restricted to All in One and Studio subscription tiers.
Capture One offers AI Crop, a tool that automatically detects faces or subjects in a batch of photos and applies a consistent crop composition based on a single photographer-set reference, saving time during high-volume shoots.
Introduced in Capture One 16.4.0 (May 14, 2024), AI Crop is available in Capture One Pro as part of the Crop Tool and as a dedicated tool with more controls in Capture One Studio. The photographer sets a crop on one reference image; the AI then detects faces or subjects in subsequent images and applies a crop that maintains consistent framing and positioning. It supports tethered shooting via Next Capture Adjustments, allowing crops to be applied automatically to each new image as it is captured.
