Corel offers a suite of AI-powered photo editing tools in PaintShop Pro, including AI Upsampling, AI Denoise, AI Artifact Removal, AI Style Transfer, AI Background Replacement, and AI Portrait Mode, available to all PaintShop Pro users since version 2021.

PaintShop Pro's AI tools use machine learning to perform specific enhancement tasks on photos: AI Upsampling enlarges images without distortion; AI Denoise and AI Artifact Removal clean noise and compression artifacts from photos; AI Style Transfer applies artistic painting styles to photos; AI Background Replacement detects the subject and replaces the background; and AI Portrait Mode applies depth-of-field blur effects by detecting faces and creating a subject mask. These features were introduced progressively from PaintShop Pro 2021 onward.
