The program started with the G-D001 Dream Project #2 in December 2023 — a one-of-a-kind 18-karat gold G-Shock auctioned for approximately $400,000, with proceeds donated to The Nature Conservancy. Casio then applied generative AI to the MTG-B4000 (released 2025, priced $1,250–$1,350), making it the first mass-produced G-Shock whose frame was co-designed using this method. The GMW-BZ5000 full-metal series (November 2025) followed the same approach. In each case, the AI runs load simulations and generates optimized 3D structural models, while human engineers make final decisions. Casio describes this as a human-AI co-creation process, not autonomous AI design.
