MathWorks offers the Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox, a product that allows users to build, train, and deploy predictive machine learning models using interactive apps and programmatic tools directly in MATLAB. It has been available for many years and is continuously updated.

The toolbox provides functions and apps for descriptive statistics, clustering, regression, and classification. Users can interactively train models — including support vector machines, boosted decision trees, and shallow neural networks — using the Classification Learner and Regression Learner apps, or programmatically using AutoML. It supports feature extraction from images, signals, text, and numeric data, and includes dimensionality reduction methods such as PCA. Models can be deployed to IT systems via MATLAB Compiler or converted to C code for embedded devices using MATLAB Coder.
