MathWorks deployed Polyspace Copilot, a generative AI assistant for the Polyspace embedded code analysis product, as part of Release 2026a in April 2026. It helps software engineers understand and fix coding defects and standards violations detected in C and C++ code.

Polyspace Copilot operates as a plugin within the Visual Studio Code IDE via the Polyspace as You Code extension. It provides tailored explanations of detected coding issues — including violations of MISRA C:2023, MISRA C++:2023, and CERT C/C++ standards — and suggests code fixes in natural language. Users can also ask questions about Polyspace capabilities and receive documentation-grounded answers. The tool supports multilingual interaction.
