Udio offers paid subscribers an audio upload feature that lets them take their own recordings or previously generated tracks and have the AI produce a new version in a different style, extend the original composition, or edit specific sections. The feature, launched in July 2024 as part of Udio v1.5, includes Remix, Style, Inpaint, and Session modes. Users must confirm they own the rights to any audio they upload.

Paid subscribers can upload reference audio or take a previously generated track and apply one of five operations: Extend (add new audio before or after the clip), Remix (generate something similar to the upload), Style (generate a new song matching the vibe of the upload), Inpaint (edit a selected portion of the audio), or Session (open a waveform-based timeline editor). The 'Remix' and audio upload feature set launched with Udio v1.5 in July 2024. Users must confirm they own the rights to any audio they upload; songs made from uploaded audio cannot be published on Udio.com.
