It integrates directly into IDEs including VS Code, JetBrains, Eclipse, and GitHub, and operates as an agentic system capable of executing multi-file changes autonomously in a sandboxed environment. In April 2025, AWS expanded Q Developer's language support to include C# and C++, and made it available in the GitHub Marketplace. AWS internally deployed Q Developer across thousands of its own engineers and used it to upgrade 1,000 applications from Java 8 to Java 17 in two days — a task that previously took months.
