Forrester deployed Forrester AI (originally called Izola), a generative AI tool that lets clients ask open-ended questions and instantly receive synthesized answers drawn from hundreds of thousands of pages of Forrester's proprietary research. The tool launched in beta in October 2023 and became available to all Forrester Decisions clients by April 2024.

Details

Forrester AI uses a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture to scan Forrester's internal research library—reports, blog posts, and data—and produce concise, cited answers in natural language via a chat interface. The AI receives a text query from the client, retrieves the most relevant Forrester research passages, and outputs a synthesized response with traceable links back to source reports. Forrester has stated it does not use client prompts or responses to train its models. By March 2026, client usage was up 55% year-over-year and prompt volume had grown 65%.
