Neutron's Mix Assistant (significantly improved in Neutron 5, released October 29, 2024) uses machine learning to analyze all tracks in a DAW session simultaneously via inter-plugin communication with iZotope's Relay plugin. It identifies instruments by category (vocals, drums, bass, etc.), sets a balanced starting level for each group, and can generate a custom signal chain for individual tracks via the Track Assistant. Users can then adjust the suggested settings.
