Native Instruments offers iZotope Neutron 5, a mixing plugin suite that uses an AI-powered Mix Assistant to listen to all tracks in a session, categorize instruments, and automatically set relative volume levels and signal chain settings as a starting point for the mix.

Neutron's Mix Assistant (significantly improved in Neutron 5, released October 29, 2024) uses machine learning to analyze all tracks in a DAW session simultaneously via inter-plugin communication with iZotope's Relay plugin. It identifies instruments by category (vocals, drums, bass, etc.), sets a balanced starting level for each group, and can generate a custom signal chain for individual tracks via the Track Assistant. Users can then adjust the suggested settings. Neutron 5 also supports reference profile matching via the free Audiolens desktop app. iZotope describes Neutron 5 as automating 'technical tasks like gain staging and EQ balancing.'
