iZotope offers Nectar 4, a vocal processing plugin suite that uses an AI-powered Vocal Assistant to analyze a vocal recording and automatically configure a custom chain of processing settings — including EQ, compression, pitch correction, and dynamics — as a starting point for vocal mixing.

Nectar 4 (released September 2023) includes a redesigned Vocal Assistant powered by machine learning. The assistant listens to a vocal track, analyzes dynamics, pitch register (detecting whether the vocal is sung, rapped, or spoken), and tonal characteristics, then automatically configures modules including EQ, compression, de-essing, and reverb. In Nectar 4, the Vocal Assistant also integrates with the Audiolens reference app, allowing users to import a reference track and have the AI match the tone and EQ of that vocal. Available in Elements, Standard, and Advanced editions, with the Advanced edition adding an Auto-Level module for intelligent dynamics leveling before the processing chain.
