RX 11 (released May 2024) and RX 12 (released April 2025) use machine learning throughout their module ecosystem. The Repair Assistant listens to an audio file, categorizes it (voice, tonal instruments, percussion, etc.), and suggests specific repair settings at light, medium, or aggressive intensity. Individual modules such as De-bleed (removes headphone bleed without a reference track), Breath Control (detects and removes breath sounds), Music Rebalance (separates stems from a finished mix using neural networks), and De-rustle (removes lavalier microphone clothing noise) each use dedicated machine learning models.

Native Instruments offers iZotope VEA (Voice Enhancement Assistant), an AI-powered audio plugin released in January 2024 that analyzes a voice recording and automatically applies noise reduction, dynamic leveling, and tonal shaping to make it sound more polished and professional.
VEA uses AI technology built from iZotope's RX, Ozone, and Nectar processing pipelines. It provides three controls — Shape (tonal EQ tailored to the voice), Boost (loudness and compression), and Clean (background noise reduction that automatically learns the ambient noise profile). The plugin is designed for podcasters and content creators with limited audio engineering experience. VEA learns the noise in the room automatically and preserves speech during noise reduction. It works as a plugin within major DAWs and non-linear video editors.
Native Instruments offers iZotope Neutron 5, a mixing plugin suite that uses an AI-powered Mix Assistant to listen to all tracks in a session, categorize instruments, and automatically set relative volume levels and signal chain settings as a starting point for the mix.
Neutron's Mix Assistant (available since earlier versions, significantly improved in Neutron 5, released October 2024) uses machine learning to analyze all tracks in a DAW session simultaneously. It identifies instruments by category (vocals, drums, bass, etc.), sets a balanced starting level for each group, and can generate a custom signal chain for individual tracks via the Track Assistant. Users can then adjust the suggested settings using macro controls. Neutron 5 also supports reference profile matching via the free Audiolens desktop app.
