Artists and their teams retain final approval over static album outputs. Founded by UMG VP of Artificial Intelligence Elio Quinton and staffed by machine learning scientists, MAML has trained large-scale models using NVIDIA's AI infrastructure. Researchers at MAML have developed technologies including the Sollos algorithms underlying Sound Therapy on Apple Music, and work on systems that understand and generate music for use in products and creative tools.
